BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK                        Bwindi impenetrable National Park is located in the South Western part of Uganda in the Albertine rift, on the edge of the Western Rift Valley. The park is a habitat to 326 gorillas almost half of the world's population of mountain gorillas. The forest has a wide range of species including 120 species of mammals, over 200 species of butterflies, 7 diurnal primates, about 30 elephants and 360 species of birds. Bwindi Impenetrable forest has about 324 tree species including vines, shrubs and ferns of which 10 don't occur else in Uganda. The park spread over the districts of Kabale, Rukungiri and Kisoro Districts, lies at an altitude Range of 1150 metres to 2600 metres above sea level.

GORILLA TRACKING IN BWINDI                                          Gorilla trekking is a major tourist attraction in Bwindi with four (4) groups available daily foe tracking. It's absolutely necessary that bookings for Gorilla Permits are done at least 3 months in advance to ensure availability. The groups include Nkuringo group comprising of 19 gorillas and 2 silver backs was opened in July 2002, Rushegura group comprising of 10 gorillas and 1 silverback was opened in July 2002, Habinyanja group, comprising of 18 gorillas and 1 silverback, opened in July 1998, and Mubare group, comprising of 10 gorillas and 1 silverback opened in 1993. Only 8 persons can track per group. Gorilla tracking experience starts at 8:30 am and can last the whole day.

MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK                                        Murchison Falls National Park derives its name from the Murchison falls where the mighty River Nile explodes through a narrow gorge. The river then flows down to become a placid river whose banks are thronged with hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks and buffaloes. Murchison Falls Protected Area is made up of Bugungu and Karuma Wildlife Reserves. The park has a variety of Wildlife including lions, chimpanzees Uganda kobs and many bird species including the rare shoebill. Vegetation is characterized by Savannah, riverine forest and woodland.  You may involve yourself in Activities such as Game Drives: There is plenty of Game on the Buligi, Albert and Queen’s tracks north of the River Nile. Wildlife includes Giraffes, elephants and other game on the grassy hillsides.                                                                          Nature Walks: The Park offers an opportunity to explore the wild on foot to closely observe a variety of birds, Animals and plants.    Top of the Falls: The trail goes to the top of the falls to the water's edge. You can hike to the top of the falls from the boat landing and to get close to narrow gorge through which the river explodes into the falls.                                                                 Forest walk: This is done beneath mature mahogany and iron wood trees at Kaniyo Pabidi. The walk takes you to Chimpanzee tracking, which is the most famous activity in the park. You will have a chance to view forest birds, like the the white-thigh hornbill, chocolate-backed kingfisher, and puvel's illadopsis found nowhere else in East Africa.                                                          Sport Fishing: This is done in rivers above and below the falls. Nile Perch and tiger-fish provide an exciting challenge to anglers. Launch Trips: The launch trip takes you from Paraa to the foot of Murchison Falls on a 17 km trip which takes about 3 hours, and a boat trip from Paraa to the delta (28km) and back takes about 4 hrs. Here you will see waterbucks, elephants, buffaloes, and a variety of birds like bee-eaters, herons, cormorants, ducks, fish eagles kingfishers and sometimes the rare shoebill.

LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK                                            Lake Mburo National Park is situated in Mbarara district is about 3.5 hours drive from Kampala. The park contains an extensive area of wetland which is a habitat for a variety of birds including the rare shoebill stork The park harbors several species of mammals including Zebras, impalas, elands, topi and buffaloes., its sculptured landscape with rolling grassy hills and idyllic lake shores. Activities to do here include; Game Drives: The Park has a diverse species of animals. These can be seen through a game drive on a number of tourist tracks. Here you can view warthogs, waterbucks, zebras, Impala and topis.                              Boat Trips: Lake Mburo, rich with a diversity of animal and plant species, is located within the park. You can view the hippopotami and birds like pelicans, black crake, heron, cormorant and fish eagle but you may also see the rare shoebill stork during a boat ride, which takes 2 hours or more.                                                Nature Trail: The nature trail offers the visitor a chance to admire nature insight as visitors have the opportunity to walk in the circuit at their own pace in company of an armed guide.                    Fishing: Visitors can enjoy sport fishing on Lake Mburo, Which has about 6 species of fish, the common one being tilapia (oreochromis leucostictus). Visitors should however, carry their own fishing gear for the trip.                                                              Salt Lick: Visitors can also be rewarded by a walk to the nearby salt lick. There is a strategically located wooded plat-form (observation point) which offers a chance to see at least four (4) different species of animals at any one time while they lick the salty soil. 

QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK                                  Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kyambura and kigezi Wildlife reserves form one of the most diverse Eco systems in Africa. This park is a home to a diversity of habitats which include lowland forest, savanna and Wetlands. The Park has a remarkable diversity of birds with over 550 species, creating the largest birders' Paradise. There are eleven fishing village enclaves within the protected area. Mighty Kazinga Channel congregate thousands of hippos. The patent Savannah speckled with Acacia and Euphorbia trees furnish a dwelling for Elephants, Lions, and Leopards, big herds of buffaloes, the Uganda Kob, and many others. Activities done around include;                                 Game Drives: This is done early morning and late afternoon hours by driving through the park for the purpose of viewing animals. The game tracks pass through the mating grounds of the great Uganda Kob and gives you an opportunity to view a wide range of wildlife including Elephants as they make their way down to the water, giant forest hog, buffaloes, bush backs and hungry lions searching for prey. The beautiful views of the crater lakes offer a breath taking experience.                                                   The Launch Cruise: A boat trip along the banks of kazinga channel takes you right in the heart of nature to a unique unmatched wild life experience in view of Hippos, buffaloes, big herds of elephants, Crocodiles and numbers of migrants and resident birds as they rest in the water, enjoy themselves drinking and playing along the channel banks.                                                Bird watching: The Park incorporates a wide range of habitats including savanna, wetlands and lowland forest. This in habits over 606 species of birds including the Grey headed Kingfisher, Black headed Gonek, Pin tailed Whydah, Slender tailed Nightjars, Red-capped lark, African Mourning dove, Lasser flamingos, the rare Shoebill stock and many more.                                                  A Nature Walk: A variety of short, medium and long guided walks are offered in the park to The Kyambura Wild Life Reserve and In Maramagambo Forest leading to the home of chimps and other primates like Black and white colobus monkeys and olive baboons, crater lakes, Bats cave floors near the picturesque blue lake and hunter' cave, forest birds, Lions and views of pythons in the ostracism. The Kyambura Wild Life Reserve has three saline crater lakes, which attracts a large number of flamingoes- not found anywhere else in Uganda.   Visit Ishasha: See the Topi, Uganda Kob and Buffaloes graze in the acacia studded savannah. The true pearl of southern part of the park! See the tree climbing lions a on the large fig tree.                                              Visit the Traditional Salt and See the way the salt ore looks.
